How do I register with Accessibility Services to receive academic accommodations?
Answer
You will need to book an appointment with an Accessibility Advisor: You can book online using the Accessibility Services Appointments system.
Please bring to your appointment copies of your disability documentation (such as a psycho-educational assessment from a psychologist or medical documentation from a physician.) If your appointment is by phone, please email your documentation to our office prior to your appointment. Please note that incomplete documentation may cause delays in receiving disability related services and funding.
We strongly recommend that you apply for disability related services prior to your program start date. At this time, meetings with an Accessibility Advisor are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by phone or virtual appointments. To ensure your needs are met in a timely manner, it is important to set up an appointment as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact our Accessibility Assistant at AS@nwpolytech.ca or 780-539-2017.
